HUL Visioning Workshop
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) approached us with the objective of creating a unified theme and spirit for their Uttar Pradesh (UP) team. The aim was to establish a cohesive unit with a clear vision for the next 2-3 years, focusing on growth, culture, and execution. The workshop was designed to inspire, motivate, and leverage the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, aligning them towards common goals.
HUL’s UP team needed to create a unified identity and vision for 2027 that was both inspirational and anchored in measurable goals. They wanted to define:
• What the team wants to be known for.
• A forward-looking vision.
• Individual identities for each member.
• Key themes and pillars for the UP strategy.
• Non-negotiable principles to govern the team.
• A culture to live by and lead from the top.
We adopted a superhero theme to draw analogies between the team and superheroes, emphasizing individual strengths and weaknesses that collectively make a powerful unit. The workshop was divided into three phases:
- Power Card Phase:
- Created individual identities for team members using a pre-designed template.
- Encouraged participants to discover and articulate their superpowers and weaknesses.
- Storyboard Challenge Phase:
- Brought individual identities together to create a team persona.
- Participants identified common elements and envisioned the future identity of the team.
- World Café Method Phase:
- Rotated through different stations to brainstorm and discuss:
- Crafting a unified and inspiring vision statement.
- Identifying and prioritizing key focus areas.
- Developing actionable steps to achieve the vision.

The workshop successfully enabled the HUL UP team to:
- Arrive at their identity, team name, and battle cry.
- Formulate a vision statement, action items, and priorities.
- Enhance clarity and alignment towards goals.
- Infuse energy and renewed faith in achieving their objectives. The half-day session proved to be highly engaging and motivating, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among team members.
